How to withdraw from OKX to a bank account

How to withdraw from OKX to a bank account
Short answer

There are two routes: a cash withdrawal, where OKX sends fiat to your bank or payment account, and a P2P sale, where a buyer pays your bank directly. OKX does not publish one global cash withdrawal fee; it shows the fee, remaining limit and processing time against each method on the withdrawal screen, and says some methods are instant while others take up to 5 business days. OKX charges no P2P fee, so route two's cost is the gap between the buy and sell price, which our daily readings put at a median 0.34% on a 20,000 NGN order between 11 and 21 October 2026.

There are two separate ways money leaves OKX for a bank account, and which one is open to you depends on where you are. Route one is a cash withdrawal, where OKX itself sends fiat to your bank or payment account: OKX’s help page on cash withdrawal limits and fees says the fee, the remaining limit and the processing time are shown against each method on the withdrawal screen rather than published as one global table, and that many methods are instant while some take up to 5 business days. Route two is selling on OKX P2P to a buyer who pays your bank directly, where OKX states it charges zero fee, so the cost is the gap between the market’s buy and sell price. Our daily readings put that gap at a median 0.34% on a 20,000 NGN order from 11 to 21 October 2026.

How OKX shows the cost of a cash withdrawal

OKX does not publish one worldwide fee. Per its help page, the remaining limit, the processing fee and the processing time appear next to each withdrawal method on the withdrawal screen, and again on the preview screen before you submit. A method with no charge is labelled No fee.

Limits are set per method and per verification level: a minimum per transaction, daily, weekly and monthly caps, and a maximum number of withdrawals. OKX says those caps reset on a rolling basis rather than at a fixed time of day, so a cap you hit in the afternoon does not clear at midnight.

OKX also states that the currencies and cash withdrawal methods it offers depend on your region, and that if your preferred payment method is not listed, you cannot withdraw cash with it. That restriction is what sends people to route two.

What the P2P price gap cost in three currencies

On a P2P sale, OKX states on its P2P sell FAQ that it charges zero fee on P2P trading, while your bank or a third-party app may still charge you for the transfer. What remains is the distance between what the market pays you to sell and what it charges you to buy. That is not a fee OKX collects; it is the space between two prices.

We read OKX’s public advert lists twice a day without an account, at about 13:00 and 18:00 GMT, in three currencies. An advert counts only if it accepts the order size and its advertiser shows at least 10 completed orders and a completion rate of 90% or better; the typical price is the middle of the 10 best such prices, and adverts in the pinned or highlighted box are recorded apart and excluded. The figures below are medians across 24 readings per currency and order size over 11 days, 11 to 21 October 2026. They describe that window, not today.

Order sizeMedian buy-sell gap
20,000 NGN0.34%
100,000 NGN0.28%
1,000,000 NGN0.91%
2,000 KES0.53%
10,000 KES0.49%
100,000 KES1.47%
200 GHS0.08%
1,000 GHS0.00%
10,000 GHS0.83%

Selling into the naira list over those eleven days, our typical price was 1,358.70 NGN per USDT on a 20,000 NGN order, 1,360.60 on 100,000 NGN and 1,361.31 on 1,000,000 NGN, so the larger order was paid slightly more. The lists we sold into held a median of 83 to 122 qualifying adverts depending on order size. On the shilling list, our typical price was 129.21 KES per USDT on a 2,000 KES order, 129.36 on 10,000 KES and 129.37 on 100,000 KES, from a median of 70 to 119 qualifying adverts. One practical detail before you pick an advert: on the OKX adverts we could sell into on 21 October 2026, M-Pesa was offered on 96% of the Kenyan adverts and MTN Mobile Money on 86% of the Ghanaian ones, with bank transfer on 54% and 36% respectively. If you specifically want money in a bank account rather than a mobile wallet, you are choosing from a narrower part of those lists.

Steps for a cash withdrawal

  1. Finish identity verification first, since OKX sets limits per verification level as well as per method.
  2. Pick your currency and look at the methods listed for your region. If the method you want is absent, OKX says you cannot withdraw cash with it.
  3. Read the fee, the remaining limit and the processing time shown against the method you pick.
  4. Enter the amount and add the destination bank or payment account.
  5. Check the preview screen, which repeats the fee and the processing time, then submit.

Steps for a P2P sale that pays your bank

  1. Open P2P trading, choose Sell, set your currency and the exact amount you want to receive.
  2. Compare the top prices on adverts that accept your order size, and look at each advertiser’s completed orders and completion rate.
  3. Place the order, then wait for the money to land in your own account before you confirm the release.

The rules on route two that cost sellers money

The money reaches you from the buyer, not from OKX. OKX requires the paying account to be held in the same name as the OKX account and calls a payment from a third party risky, so a transfer arriving from someone else’s name is a reason to stop and not release.

Do not ask for a reference mentioning crypto. OKX’s guidance to P2P buyers tells them not to write crypto-related words such as crypto, BTC or USDT in the payment reference, and the same logic applies to anything you request.

Know the two appeal clocks. As a seller you can open an appeal once 5 minutes have passed since the buyer marked the order Paid without the money arriving, or if the buyer has not confirmed receipt within 1 hour. And never press Received before the money is genuinely in the account. A screenshot is not a payment.

Finally, OKX’s own guidance for African P2P traders says Kenya and Nigeria are its two largest P2P markets in Africa. It names the biggest risk in Nigeria as money arriving from a hacked account or being pulled back by a chargeback. For Kenya it names adverts priced in a different currency, such as one quoting US dollars inside a shilling list. A chargeback can still reach you after you release, which is the plain downside of this route.

What we could not confirm

  • We have no figures for OKX’s own cash withdrawal fees, minimums or caps in any country, and no processing time beyond what its help page states.
  • We have not timed a real withdrawal or a real P2P bank transfer, so we cannot say how long either takes in practice.
  • The measured gap covers naira, shillings and cedis only, for 11 to 21 October 2026. It does not describe any other currency or any other date.

Frequently asked

What does OKX charge to withdraw cash to a bank account?

OKX does not publish one figure. Its help page says the processing fee is shown against each withdrawal method on the withdrawal screen, and again on the preview screen before you submit, and that a method with no charge is labelled No fee. We have no figure of our own for any country.

How long does an OKX withdrawal take?

OKX says many cash withdrawal methods are instant, but that some can take up to 5 business days depending on the type. The processing time for the specific method you pick is displayed next to it on the withdrawal screen. We have not timed a real withdrawal, so we have no figure of our own.

What if OKX does not offer a cash withdrawal method where I live?

OKX states that the currencies and cash withdrawal methods it offers depend on your region, and that if your preferred payment method is not listed you cannot withdraw cash with it. That is the situation in which people use OKX P2P instead, selling crypto to a buyer who pays their bank or mobile money account directly.

Does selling on OKX P2P cost anything?

OKX states it charges zero fee on P2P trading, and notes your bank or a third-party app may still charge you for the transfer. The cost that is left is the gap between the price to buy and the price to sell. Our readings from 11 to 21 October 2026 put that gap at a median 0.28% on a 100,000 NGN order and 0.49% on a 10,000 KES order.
