Editorial policy

Who is responsible for what you read here, how it is produced, and how to hold us to it.

Who is responsible

Broker Almanac is an independent, privately run publication. It is not a broker, an exchange or a financial adviser, and it holds no financial licence. The publisher is responsible for everything on the site. Pages are credited to the Broker Almanac desk because they are the work of the publication, not of one named writer, and we do not invent author names or credentials.

How a guide is produced

We use AI tools throughout: to help with research, to draft, and to review. We would rather tell you how that works than leave you to guess.

  1. Research comes first. Before anything is written, the facts for a guide are read from primary sources and recorded in a research brief, each with its source and the date it was checked.
  2. The draft may only use the brief. A guide is drafted with an AI writing tool that is given the brief and told it may not state a figure, fee, limit, date or policy that the brief does not contain.
  3. A second pass tries to reject it. A separate automated review compares the draft against the brief and holds the guide back if it finds a claim the brief does not support, a missing source link, padding, or anything that reads like a promise of profit.
  4. Sources are printed on the page. The guide lists the sources it used and when each was checked, so you can verify it yourself.

Guides published before October 2026 were written under an earlier process and do not all carry a source list yet. We are working through them, starting with the ones people read most. How we get our own numbers is described in how we measure and check.

What we publish, and what we do not

  • We publish explanations, costs, procedures and the real downsides of a venue.
  • We do not publish trading signals, price predictions or income promises.
  • We do not say a venue is "safe". We say who regulates it, which entity would hold your account, and what we could and could not verify.
  • A guide written for one country says so in its title. Rules, payment methods and availability differ by country, and a page that pretends to cover everyone helps no one.

Dates

"Updated" changes only when the content of a page changes. We do not refresh dates to make a page look new.

Referral income

Some links to venues are referral links, and some are plain links that earn us nothing. Neither decides what we write or how a venue is described. The details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If you find an error, send it to us with the page address. We check it against the source, correct the page, and update its date. We read messages weekly.
