OKX fees in Nigeria (2026): trading, P2P and withdrawal costs
Short answer

A regular OKX account pays 0.080% maker and 0.100% taker on spot trades, and OKX states that naira P2P carries no trading fee. Withdrawing USDT costs between 0.0022 USDT (X Layer) and 1.5 USDT (Tron TRC20) depending on the network, based on OKX's pages as checked on 11 Oct 2026.

A regular OKX account pays 0.080% maker and 0.100% taker on spot trades, and OKX states that buying or selling USDT for naira on P2P carries no trading fee. The cost that catches most Nigerian traders is the withdrawal: 1.5 USDT if you send USDT over Tron (TRC20), against 0.0033 USDT over Arbitrum One.

All figures below were read from OKX’s own pages on 11 Oct 2026, unless a different date is given.

What a regular account pays to trade spot

OKX’s fee schedule puts an account in the regular (non-VIP) tier when it holds under 100,000 USD in assets or trades under 1,000,000 USD in 30 days. That covers most retail traders in Nigeria.

TierHow you qualifySpot makerSpot taker
RegularUnder 100,000 USD in assets or under 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume0.080%0.100%
VIP 1From 100,000 USD in assets or 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume0.0675%0.080%

In practice:

  • A 100 USDT market order pays the taker rate: 0.10 USDT.
  • The same 100 USDT placed as a limit order that rests on the book pays the maker rate: 0.08 USDT.

The other trading cost is the spread between the best buy and sell price. On 7 Sep 2026 we read OKX’s BTC/USDT spot order book ourselves: best ask 79,439.6, best bid 79,439.5. That is a spread of 0.1 USDT, about 0.13 basis points, and it is the minimum price tick for that pair. On that reading, the spread on BTC/USDT was far smaller than the trading fee itself.

What naira P2P actually costs

OKX states on its naira P2P market that P2P trading carries no trading fee. So the real cost of naira P2P is the difference between the price you buy USDT at and the price you can sell it back for.

Here is what the market showed on 11 Oct 2026. This is a snapshot from that day, not a live quote.

SideNaira per USDT (11 Oct 2026)
Adverts to buy USDT1,363.00 to 1,363.95
Adverts to sell USDT1,362.85 to 1,363.00

The gap between the two sides was about one naira per USDT. If you bought 100 USDT and sold it straight back at those prices, the round trip would have cost roughly 100 naira, with no trading fee on top.

Payment methods shown on the naira adverts that day were bank transfer, PalmPay and Moniepoint. The smallest advert limit we saw was 1,300 naira, so small test trades were possible. OKX has no minimum deposit to open an account.

Each P2P advert is posted by another user with their own price and limits, so the price you get depends on which advert you pick.

What it costs to withdraw USDT on each network

OKX lists these charges as network fees, shown per network on its withdrawal information page. The fee is a flat amount in USDT, not a percentage, so it weighs most heavily on small withdrawals.

NetworkWithdrawal fee (USDT)Minimum withdrawal (USDT)
X Layer0.00220.02
Arbitrum One0.00332
Polygon0.0112
Optimism0.0152
TON0.0222
Avalanche C-Chain0.0252
Aptos0.0322
Solana0.312
Ethereum (ERC20)0.322
Tron (TRC20)1.510

X Layer was the cheapest network at 0.0022 USDT, with Arbitrum One next at 0.0033 USDT. Tron (TRC20) was the most expensive at 1.5 USDT and also had the highest minimum, 10 USDT.

The size of the difference is easy to miss. Withdrawing 50 USDT over Tron costs 1.5 USDT, which is 3% of the amount. The same 50 USDT over Arbitrum One costs 0.0033 USDT. At Tron’s 10 USDT minimum, the 1.5 USDT fee is 15% of what you send.

The cheapest network only works if the receiving wallet or exchange accepts USDT on that same network. OKX labels the token it sends on X Layer, Arbitrum One and Polygon as USDT0, so check that the receiving side supports it. Sending to an address on the wrong network can lose the funds.

Regular accounts have a 24-hour withdrawal limit of 10,000,000 USD, so the limit is not a practical constraint for most retail traders.

Worked example: naira in, trade, USDT out

Using the figures above:

  1. Buy 100 USDT with naira on P2P. Trading fee: 0. At the 11 Oct 2026 snapshot, buy adverts started at 1,363.00 naira per USDT, so about 136,300 naira.
  2. Use the 100 USDT for a spot market order. Taker fee at 0.100%: 0.10 USDT. As a resting limit order at 0.080%, it would be 0.08 USDT.
  3. Withdraw 50 USDT to an outside wallet. Over Tron (TRC20): 1.5 USDT. Over Arbitrum One: 0.0033 USDT.
RouteTrading feeWithdrawal feeTotal
Market order, withdraw on Tron (TRC20)0.10 USDT1.5 USDT1.60 USDT
Market order, withdraw on Arbitrum One0.10 USDT0.0033 USDT0.1033 USDT
Limit order, withdraw on Arbitrum One0.08 USDT0.0033 USDT0.0833 USDT

The network choice moves the total far more than the maker or taker rate does. To run your own amounts, use our crypto fee calculator.

Downsides to weigh

  • Crypto is highly volatile and your capital is at real risk. Low fees do not change that.
  • Some OKX products are restricted by jurisdiction, so not everything on the platform may be open to an account in Nigeria.
  • Derivatives are advanced products and not for day one. This guide covers spot, P2P and withdrawals only.
  • P2P means dealing with another user. The no-fee statement covers OKX’s trading fee, not the price an advertiser sets.

What we could not confirm

  • Whether OKX holds a licence or registration with the Nigerian SEC.
  • OKX’s futures and options fee rates, card and fiat deposit fees, and any discount for holding OKB.
  • Naira P2P prices on any day other than 11 Oct 2026.

This guide is for education only and is not financial advice; trading carries a risk of loss.
