Lowest fee crypto exchange (2026): what Binance, Bybit, MEXC and OKX actually charge

Lowest fee crypto exchange (2026): what Binance, Bybit, MEXC and OKX actually charge
Short answer

There is no single lowest fee exchange: it depends on your order type and your withdrawal network. On the regular spot tier, MEXC shows 0% maker and 0.05% taker on BTC/USDT, OKX lists 0.08% maker and 0.1% taker, and Binance and Bybit list 0.1% for both. For a USDT withdrawal on Tron, MEXC showed 0.5 USDT against 1.5 USDT at Binance and OKX on 11 Oct 2026.

There is no single lowest fee crypto exchange: the answer changes with your order type and the network you withdraw on. On the regular spot tier, MEXC shows 0% maker and 0.05% taker on BTC/USDT, OKX lists 0.08% maker and 0.1% taker, and Binance and Bybit both list 0.1% for maker and taker.

Trading fees are only half the bill. If you move funds off the exchange, the withdrawal fee can be larger than the trading fee on a small order, and it differs by network far more than most people expect. All figures below are as displayed on 11 Oct 2026 and can change.

Regular spot fees at the four exchanges

These are the entry-level rates, the ones a new account pays before any volume tier applies.

ExchangeMaker (limit order)Taker (market order)Discount on the regular tier
MEXC0.0000%0.0500% on BTC/USDT0.0400% taker with the 20% MX discount
OKX0.080%0.100%None in the figures we read
Binance0.100%0.100%0.075% when fees are paid in BNB (25% off)
Bybit0.1000%0.1000%None in the figures we read

Where each row comes from:

  • MEXC’s fee overview shows 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker on BTC/USDT, or 0.0400% taker with its 20% MX discount. We read the taker rate on BTC/USDT only.
  • OKX’s trading fee schedule lists 0.080% maker and 0.100% taker for regular accounts, defined as under 100,000 USD in assets or under 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume.
  • Binance’s spot fee schedule lists 0.100% maker and 0.100% taker for accounts under 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume. Paying fees in BNB takes 25% off, which makes it 0.075%.
  • Bybit’s trading fee structure page, last updated 2 Sep 2026, lists 0.1000% maker and 0.1000% taker for non-VIP spot accounts.

A maker order is a limit order that rests on the order book until someone fills it. A taker order fills immediately against an existing order, which is what a market order does.

What a 1,000 USDT order costs

This is arithmetic from the published rates above.

ExchangeMarket (taker) orderLimit (maker) order
MEXC (BTC/USDT)0.50 USDT0
OKX1.00 USDT0.80 USDT
Binance1.00 USDT (0.75 USDT with BNB)1.00 USDT (0.75 USDT with BNB)
Bybit1.00 USDT1.00 USDT

Two things stand out:

  • Order type only matters on MEXC and OKX. Binance and Bybit charge the same rate either way.
  • Discounts need the exchange’s own token. The Binance and MEXC discounts mean holding BNB or MX, and those tokens have their own price risk.

USDT withdrawal fees by network

We read USDT withdrawal fees on three exchanges on 11 Oct 2026: MEXC’s fee page, OKX’s withdrawal fee page and Binance’s crypto fee page. We did not read Bybit’s withdrawal fees, so Bybit is not in this table.

NetworkMEXCOKXBinance

Optimism0.00780.0150.04
Aptos0.10.0320.1
Avalanche C-Chain0.0000740.0250.04

All figures are in USDT per withdrawal. OKX also lists X Layer at 0.0022 USDT, and Binance lists opBNB at 0.015 USDT.

These are flat fees, not percentages, so they weigh most on small withdrawals. Binance says it does not charge crypto deposit fees, and that each withdrawal carries a flat fee set by the blockchain network that can change without notice.

Minimum withdrawals can block a small transfer

A low fee does not help if your balance is under the minimum.

All figures are in USDT. OKX’s X Layer minimum is 0.02 USDT.

The catch with OKX’s cheapest networks

OKX labels the token it sends on Arbitrum One, Polygon, Plasma, X Layer, Unichain, Berachain and Monad as USDT0, not USDT. It lists Optimism both as USDT and as USDT0 at the same fee.

That matters because OKX’s lowest fees in the table, such as 0.0033 on Arbitrum One, are for a token carrying a different label. If the receiving platform only credits the token it lists as USDT on that network, the low fee is no use to you.

Who pays least, by type of user

Each line names the order type and network it applies to, and covers only the exchanges we read for that fee.

  • Market orders on BTC/USDT: MEXC at 0.05%, half the 0.1% listed by the other three. Binance with BNB sits in between at 0.075%.
  • Limit orders: MEXC at 0% maker, then OKX at 0.08%, then Binance and Bybit at 0.1%.
  • Withdrawing USDT on Tron: MEXC at 0.5 USDT, against 1.5 USDT at Binance and OKX.
  • Withdrawing USDT on BEP20: MEXC and Binance tie at 0.01 USDT. OKX does not list this network for USDT.
  • Withdrawing on Arbitrum One or Aptos: OKX shows the lowest fee of the three (0.0033 and 0.032), with the USDT0 label applying on Arbitrum One.
  • Withdrawing on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, TON, Optimism or Avalanche: MEXC shows the lowest fee of the three.

Worked example: buy 1,000 USDT of BTC at market, then withdraw USDT on Tron

Combining the trading fee and the Tron withdrawal fee from the tables above:

  1. MEXC: 0.50 USDT taker fee plus 0.5 USDT withdrawal, 1.00 USDT in total.
  2. Binance: 1.00 USDT taker fee plus 1.5 USDT withdrawal, 2.50 USDT in total, or 2.25 USDT with the BNB discount.
  3. OKX: 1.00 USDT taker fee plus 1.5 USDT withdrawal, 2.50 USDT in total.

On the two Binance totals, the withdrawal costs more than the trade. Bybit’s trading fee would be 1.00 USDT, but we cannot total it because we did not read its withdrawal fee.

What we could not confirm

  • Bybit’s USDT withdrawal fees and minimums. We did not read them, so Bybit appears only in the trading fee tables.
  • MEXC’s taker rate on pairs other than BTC/USDT. The 0.05% figure is the one shown for that pair.
  • How long any of these figures will hold. They are as displayed on 11 Oct 2026.

Frequently asked

Which exchange has the lowest spot trading fee?

On the regular tier, MEXC shows the lowest published rates of the four: 0% maker and 0.05% taker on BTC/USDT. OKX lists 0.08% maker and 0.1% taker, and Binance and Bybit list 0.1% for both. Binance drops to 0.075% if you pay fees in BNB.

How much does it cost to withdraw USDT on TRC20?

On 11 Oct 2026, MEXC displayed 0.5 USDT for a Tron (TRC20) withdrawal, while Binance and OKX each displayed 1.5 USDT. The minimum withdrawal on Tron was 2 USDT at MEXC, 5 USDT at Binance and 10 USDT at OKX. We did not read Bybit's withdrawal fees.

Do limit orders cost less than market orders?

Only on exchanges that price maker and taker orders differently. On a 1,000 USDT order, a limit (maker) fill costs 0 on MEXC and 0.80 USDT on OKX, against 0.50 USDT and 1.00 USDT for a market (taker) fill. Binance and Bybit charge 0.1% either way, so 1.00 USDT in both cases.

Are these fees fixed?

No. The figures here are as displayed on 11 Oct 2026. Binance says each withdrawal carries a flat fee set by the blockchain network and that it can change without notice.
