Bybit review

Crypto

Derivatives-first exchange with a clean UX and a low barrier to start.

Good for

Active crypto traders who want a fast derivatives engine.

Not for

US and other restricted-region residents.

Fees, explained

The real cost of a trade is the spread plus any commission plus funding and withdrawal fees — not the headline number a broker markets. Our live-spread measurement on Bybit is in progress; rather than repeat figures we have not verified, we publish the average EUR/USD spread only once we have captured it ourselves from a funded account.

Testing Average EUR/USD spread and withdrawal timing for Bybit: measurement in progress. Check back — we date-stamp every figure when it lands.

Regulation & safety

Bybit operates under 2 regulatory licences: VARA (Dubai), Registered in multiple markets. Regulation is not a guarantee against loss — leverage and volatility do the damage — but it tells you who you can complain to and how client funds are meant to be handled. Always trade with the entity that actually onboards your country.

Opening an account

  1. Register with your email and verify it.
  2. Complete identity verification (KYC) — a government ID and proof of address.
  3. Fund the account using P2P (NGN), USDT, Crypto transfer.
  4. Start on a demo. Size positions small. Keep a trading journal from day one.

The honest cons

  • Not available to US / Canada / a number of regions
  • Derivatives leverage is high-risk
  • Crypto volatility can wipe positions quickly

What we like

  • Fast, well-designed derivatives platform
  • Low barrier to open and fund via P2P
  • Frequent maker rebates
